When I first discovered Shadow Work nearly 20 years ago, I carried a lot of buried anger and grief. Experiences of growing up abroad, going to boarding school, and the tragic death of one of my best friends had impacted me deeply.
I slowly began reclaiming the parts of me I'd shut down or pushed away – exploring the protective patterns I'd created to fit in and be seen as the one who could hold it all together. I became interested in Rites of Passage, and what it means to be a man.
I spent a decade working with young people who felt left behind by society – all with huge potential but getting in lots of trouble and mostly feeling angry and lost.
In 2008, I helped establish ABandOfBrothers, a charity supporting the hardest-to-reach young men. The missing piece was 'community'. A place where men, young and old, could do their inner work and start to live healthier, more purposeful lives.
What I've learned along the way: lasting change happens when we own our story, find the gold in our wounds, and fully claim who we're becoming.
Why I Do This Work
I've spent years studying and practicing shadow work, and what I've discovered is profound: most people know what needs to change - they just can't get there or sustain it. The gap isn't knowledge. It's integration.
The people I work with aren't looking for more information. They're looking for transformation. They've often had therapy or read a load of books. They understand their patterns. But understanding hasn't translated into embodied change.
That's where shadow work changes everything. When you integrate the parts of yourself you've put in shadow - your anger, your vulnerability, your power, your unspoken needs - you stop unconsciously sabotaging yourself. You start living from truth instead of fear and performance.
My Approach
My work is direct, compassionate, and focused on results that matter. I'm not interested in making you feel good in the moment. I'm interested in helping you become the person you know you're capable of being.
This means I'll hold space for your discomfort. I'll support you if you choose to explore difficult territory. And I'll celebrate your wins with you.
I've guided hundreds of people through transformative experiences in relationships, self-worth, purpose, and personal power. This work isn't about following a formula. It's about discovering what's true for you and learning to live from that truth.
